We started from humble beginnings: just two motivated entrepreneurs in a 200 sq. ft. office space, driven by a shared belief that people deserve access to high-quality, lab-tested hemp products without compromise. Today, Leafy8 has grown into Central Florida’s premier hemp dispensary, with retail locations in Winter Park and Orlando, FL, with nationwide shipping to customers across the country.

Meet the Founder Behind Winter Park's Natural Healing Dispensary

Back in 2017, I started a supplement company with a simple, singular belief: healing.
I was a long-time advocate for natural wellness, and even before the industry exploded, I saw the untapped potential in hemp. I began working with CBD when it first hit the market, offering low-milligram options because I understood that the plant's effects were powerful and required respect. My goal wasn't to get rich — it was to understand the healing potential of this plant.
How Did Leafy8 Start? The Pivot That Changed Everything
When the pandemic hit in 2020, my vitamin company took a massive financial hit. At the same time, a friend suggested I look into Delta-8 THC. It was new, legal, and the benefits were incredible. One night, sitting around discussing the potential of this product, the name just hit me: Leafy8.
The next day, in the same office I used for my vitamin business, we drew up the business plan. We weren't just building a company — we were setting out to make Leafy8 a household brand. We went to the local smoke shops, bought every brand we could find, and sent them to a lab for testing. The results were shocking: inconsistencies everywhere. That was our "aha!" moment. We realized that if we could offer a quality product that was consistent and budget-friendly, we could set the standard for the entire local market.
Why Leafy8? Resilience, Sacrifice, and a Mission That Refused to Quit
We didn't pick an easy time to launch. The world was shutting down. We both caught COVID-19 and were sick for weeks. We went over $73,000 into debt. But we had a mission, and we refused to quit.
Building a business is brutal, and it requires sacrifices I never anticipated. When my partner decided he wanted "more pay for less work," I realized our visions were simply different. I bought him out, but the personal toll was heavy. I spent months learning to operate a website, manufacture products, manage retail locations, and hire a team — all while raising my three wonderful daughters. I never gave up. I couldn't.

Fast forward to today, and Leafy8 is exactly what I was meant to build. My son, after graduating high school, joined the team. He's been an incredible asset, and training him to carry on this legacy is one of my proudest achievements. We've worked with the brightest minds in the industry — biochemists and researchers — to create products that matter.
